Here is a rebuilt Swedish fighting knife. It is the fm/64 which is a development of the fm/52. The fm/52 is a copy of the US m/3.
On this knife the plastic handle has been replaced by a handle in curly birch. The sheath is original.
    I got it in a trade…

Most of the decent stainless steels are air hardening, and perhaps a bit difficult for you to achieve anything worthwhille with a burner process...

Leave the stainless HT to the pros...

OK, so bought the Milwaukee BS125 and the Swag stand. Early days but trialled them together this evening cutting a blade profile through 5mm 01 steel and it was amazingly easy - knife through butter. Saw is powerful and stand is stable. Highly recommend…

Changed up the design a bit . Got my finger caught in the other one as I was sliding it, nearly crushed my fingernail and it got flung across the shop . Just got me to thinking that some things should be done the way they are supposed to be done.…

I’m wanting to make some stainless knives, I’m looking for something to heat treat that is simple as I only have a little one burner devil forge.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

Yes Jim very nice. I really like a blasted finish on blades, the best i've seen is Haakonsen or Jim Hammond, not sure if they 'bead' blast?

Can you experiment with masking, having two tone effects?
