    I like the green wrapped handle knife. Just looks right to me. A 'no nonsense, get the task done' kind of knife.

    Excellent craftsmanship there! I've certainly developed an appreciation of fullers after having a dabble myself. I will be attempting one on my next batch of knives.

    Would it not be better to have the leather on the inside to protect the knife and the kydex as a tough outer shell?

    If you're in a financial position that you can afford it then what the hell, go for it! I've got too many other hobbies to spread my pocket money around but I do wish I could invest a little more in this.

    I managed to rough my kiridashi out this afternoon. Easiest bevels I've ever done. No plunge to worry about. :thumbsup:Still a way to go tidying up the curves etc.,but happy so far.

    I'm just about to start cutting the profile of mine. Does a kiridashi have to have a one side chisel grind? What are the benefits?

    In my view, you don't need half of this kit. Especially if it's just a hobby.I made my first few knives in the kitchen with an mdf filing jig, a cheap clamp on vise, a hacksaw and files and that was about it. I did have access to a pillar drill in work.…
