The one I have from a couple of years back has a really soft back spring, the pull weight on it is about a 3 at best. Don't know if I got a bad one or if they are all like like. It really spoiled a potentially nice knife for me.

I was thinking along Mike's lines in that a sensible police officer would consider it legal, but a less sensible one may not. I am in the teaching profession so have to be squeaky clean, so always try to air on the side of caution. But that yellow wood…

Sadly I like to carry and use all my GEC's so think I am going to give this one a miss as it is a little closer to three inches for comfort. The yellow wood one does look rather splendid though, I can hear it calling me and am trying to resist!

A shame as I really fancied one, but reluctant to buy a slipjoint that I can't carry on a daily basis.

I like the look of the GEC currently in production. The #81 Bull Moose. I think the blade night be just over three inches though. Has anyone had an #81 before?

I have been trying to resist buying one of these for ages. But it is still on my wanted list and is nearing the top. Really fancy the Dan 2 in burgundy. Has anybody got one? Are they as good as they look?
