quite pleased my workmate was down the workshop today doing some forging, so it was nice and toasty while I was doing some handle shaping and hand sanding.
Was Baltic in there Friday, had to waste gas and light the force while I was grinding lol.

    Well, that looks rather civilised.
I've just got back indoors after 2 hours of 150 Rhynowet trying to get out deep scratches with a can of Firsty Ferret to keep me company.
    Bloody cold too.
Too tight to turn on the heater.

    Was there cheese?

6" bladed bowie iv been working on today. made from 4mm 14c28n and stacked micarta/g10/brass.
the finish on the blade is as it comes out the vinegar after soaking a couple days to remove the anti scale

Upscaled from the Victorinox fruit / carvers

Bit of a practice for Hawkbill style blades , not the easiest (I struggled anyway ) but 5mm stock probably didn't help , it's a stropped zero grind .

V common to everyone else then! The one I have has aluminium bolsters and the blade is not centred, in fact slaps quite violently closed, on the edge😳 Still, nice to look at and hold, compact and inexpensive. Critically, edgeholding is unfortunately…

mason knives - your knife is so pretty it crashed my PC. I sh!t you not, I had to reboot to write this... it couldn't take the handmade glory.

Thanks to all involved, suggesting an idea is easy, everybody stood up for a stunning group effort.

Also, bear in mind some drives lose torque at lower revolutions, if you need to slow down, unless they are 'vectored' but then they cost more.

You can get a seperate control box on a lead and site the drive away from the machine. I have a long lead and…
