    For my first attempt I used an epoxy resin and metallic pigments from a seller on eBay . I cast some deformed aluminium honeycomb.. then under gentle vacuum to aid release of bubbles.. So far, happy with results quality of resin . i'm in the process of…

    I managed to rough my kiridashi out this afternoon. Easiest bevels I've ever done. No plunge to worry about. :thumbsup:Still a way to go tidying up the curves etc.,but happy so far.

    Black canvas Micarta one side and blue G10 the other...brass Loveless bolts., But....black and blue equals Bruise

    The other knife has carbon fibre scales and the spine profile exhibits a violin profile...

    Got a bit more done this weekend :)




    Warped a bit during hardening, but thanks to the wrought iron layer a few taps with a mallet straightened it out again!
    Going to put it through the temper cycles now then final sanding and polishing.
    Not decided on…

    Yes sold as an rvk type i believe.its an 8 inch unit.i run mine on a cheapish speed control and use it turned down in summer to help with cooling without needing full chat\noise.
    Still makes a fair bit but compared to my friends welding extraction unit…

    Hello,
    today I finished this drop point Jäger with a 11,9cm blade from 1.3505
    Solver soldered guard from brass, spacers from aluminium and micarta, sambar taper and the pommel from brass with a 7x57 FNT 1930 cartridge.
