Read it on a website called arrse.co.uk or army rumour service, but you would need to trawl through threads about military issue boots VS other military issue boots to find references of moaning but I remember seeing a lot of ankle…

    I am a boot collector.

The soles are quite soft and wear at a fairly fast rate for expensive boots and usually fail when you wear through the heal and can be resoled or thrown away.

Also they are known for poor ankle support with many soldiers moaning…

The thing is though when you make a knife you risk getting your fingers shredded by an extremely powerful belt grinder or other very serious injury. I agree it seems too high but the material cost alone might only be £10 for g10…

    Some options :

Shing on one side and type of steel on other side.

    Stay as it is.

Made in Yorkshire or whatever county you are in.

    Made in UK.

Made near Sheffield, not sure about that. Sounds awkward

I had a much simpler system.

Hand operated vaccum pump, tube, large vaccum jar and fittings.

Does work but not as good as using the proper gear.

You have to really dry the wood first and use wood that takes in the juice well in my opinion.

    Posted the thread For Sale 154CM Steel 460mm X 70mm X 3.8mm.

No time for knife making now.

Approx size is 460 x 70 x 3.8 but it needs lapping a little so will end up 3.5mm thick perhaps.

Could make 4 to 6 knives or 10+ little folders...

Asking £44 including delivery and fees.
