    Afternoon all,

For sale is a brand new in box Spyderco PITS designed by Mike Read. I am only selling as this as I have another due to arrive imminently.

It is a UK legal EDC knife as its cutting edge is below the three inch/76.2 mm length, so this little beauty can go with you just about anywhere. Here is a link to Heinnie's specs on it: http://www.heinnie.com/spyderco-pits

It is brand new in box with paperwork, however there are some marks to the titanium which have come from the factory.

Yours for £195 which includes delivery and PayPal fees (if any). I very much welcome bank transfers, cash and cheque, so PM me for details on those.

    Cheers,
    Hugh

    Afternoon all,

For sale here we have a stunning mint condition Fluted Titanium Military, by Spyderco.

    http://www.heinnie.com/spyderc…-fluted-titanium?___SID=U

    Blade length: 10.2cm
    Handle length: 13.9cm
    Blade material: CPM-S30V
    Handle material: Fluted Titanium

Rock solid lock-up with absolutely no blade play in any direction, and a perfectly centred blade. I cannot find a mark on it, except for a ~4mm hairline surface scratch that is near the Torx head of the stop pin which its had from new - I tried to capture it in a picture but I couldn't see it! I know it's there though. Otherwise, it is absolutely mint and comes with original box and paperwork.

Yours for £195 including delivery and PayPal (bank transfer, cash or cheque very welcome - PM for details).

    Cheers,
    Hugh

Welcome to Other Stuff for Sale by Sellers.

There are just a few simple rules. Please read them before posting in here.

[scallout=grey]Can I sell stuff in here?

Only those with a Seller subscription can sell in here.
    [/scallout]
    [scallout=grey]What can I sell?

Anything (within reason) that isn't a knife that you wish to sell as a Seller.[/scallout]
[scallout=grey]How much or how often can I sell stuff?

This is determined by your base subscription level. However many individual 'for sale' items your base subscription allows you to post in the main Marketplace, you can post the same number here. You can always ask a staff member if it is still unclear.[/scallout]
    [scallout=grey]Can I bump my threads?

There is currenty no automatic anti-bumping system, therefore we ask that you do not bump your thread more often than the bump limit defined by your base subscription level. Slight transgressions may be overlooked at the mods' discretion.[/scallout]
    [scallout=grey]Is there anything else?

Yes. Please choose the right Tag for your item, and update it when the item is Sold or Withdrawn.[/scallout]

I think you need to have Mod/Admin powers to delete posts/threads in their entirety. Just report your post/thread if you want it wiped before lift off and change the thread title to PLEASE DELETE or something - I can't see a better way of getting it done (Packrat may suggest other means though...)

Is the Ti-Lock not awkward to open and close? How practical is it? How "safe" is the lock?

Not at all awkward Doc, it's very easy indeed. The bronze lug acts just like a thumb stud, or you can get the meat of your thumb into the gap between the blade and the ti spring bar.

Practical? It's the sliciest Reeve I've had (got the Umnum, L21 and L25, and owned the L21 Insingo), but the ti bar could bind on certain materials I'm sure.

Safe? Solid lock-up and a very springy bar I suggest mean it's pretty secure for most uses, though I suppose if the media being cut does indeed bind as mentioned above, it could potentially disengage the lock bar...but then there's that choil which means your finger is there helping to prevent accidental closure. If your finger's not in the choil, then the choil still means it - not the cutting edge - will close on your finger.

You have fine taste Ciro, if I do say so myself! Though I thought the first Ti Locks were blasted titanium, rather than stonewashed? Or is that the proto for the stonewashed replacements of the blasted?

    Mine is just the standard:

Welcome to Sales of Random Stuff that isn't Knives.

There are just a few simple rules. Please read them before posting in here.

Can I sell Knives in here ?

Any paid subscribing member can sell in this area.

However, you must be selling your own property, and you must not be selling as or on behalf of a company, or any profit-making venture. It's just you, selling your knives.

Please ensure all sales threads have pics of the actual items you wish to sell. This will speed up your sale & clarify the items condition etc.

You must include a sale price. No exceptions.

You May leave or remove the price after sale, but not during the sale.

    What can I sell ?

Anything with a blade, mainly knives, axes, swords. But it must be legal, and you must only sell to people aged 18+. It is your responsibility to ascertain the age of your buyer. Also ensure that knives are correctly listed and there's no confusion. If you're after offers, ensure you have a guide price first.

How much or how often can I sell stuff ?

That will depend entirely upon the subscription that you have. If you are unsure, have another look at the subscriptions. You can always ask a staff member if it is still unclear.

Can I bump my threads ?

There is currently no automatic anti-bumping throttle. Therefore, we ask that you do not bump your thread more often than the bump limit defined by your base subscription level. Slight transgressions may be overlooked at the mods' discretion. However, bumping a day early will result in your post being deleted.

    Is there anything else?

Yes. Please choose the right Label for your item, and update it when the item is Sold or Withdrawn.

When you've agreed to sell to one person, mark the item SPF

Looking for something in particular? Then why not post what you're looking for in here, and your fellow forumites may well be able to help you out. This is open to all paying subscribed membership grades.

Bumping of "wanted" threads is limited to your paid subscription limits. Please pm the thread starter. Please do not Reply in thread, bumping the thread prematurely.

This is not the place to offer things for trade by creating a thread entitled e.g. 'Knife wanted, trade for an axe', as such threads must go into the relevant 'For sale' section and you need a certain grade of membership to post threads of that nature.

This section of the forum is dedicated to the advertising and arranging of competitions, giveaways and passarounds.

A few things to consider before starting or running one of the above:

    • If you have been provided with the item free of charge by a manufacturer, supplier, dealer or distributor of the product, you must contact a member of forum staff for clearance. If the staff approve it, you must declare who gave you the item at the very top of your thread.
    • Consider holding it for members with over a certain number of posts or a certain amount of history with the forum, as otherwise you may get people who contribute nothing, and only use the forum to obtain freebies. This isn't a requirement, it is entirely up to you who you include.
    • Consider mandating a certain form of delivery, such as signed for/tracked variants of postage, as this then helps if your item goes AWOL and you need to make a claim.
    • If a passaround, consider imposing certain restrictions on those taking part, such as not allowing them to disassemble the knife.
    • Any member running or taking part in one of the above does so at their own risk; Edge Matters cannot help if things go wrong, such as if the item gets damaged or lost. However, mediation attempts may be made if the forum owners deem it appropriate.

This section of the forum is for you to post any projects you are currently working on, and also for those who wish to do a work in progress thread (WIP). Please also share any historical WIPs that you may have shown previously, as these are always extremely interesting and helpful for others to learn from.

Please also use this section to post your suggestions for any knife in the hat (KITH) projects that you wish to arrange.
