  • @Oxford_Guy I definitely think you should have your Ti Yeoman modded from what you've said so far about the way you use it. I'm still carrying my Swiss Champ and don't even notice it on my belt now until I need to use it. Came in very handy a few times and for me the amount of tools on it is a real plus side.

  • Picture looks good to me, ...and so does the SAK.

  • Very nice. I like the SAK with the wooden scales.

  • Quote from leeroy37: “image-proxyupload pic ” That's a lovely knife.

  • Quote from Paul W: “Totally agree @Gizmo, and I would go all micarta. ” I think it would look better all CF or all Micarta but not really the mix. If anyone wants to give me that knife for free though I'd definitely take it.

I don't see why I should though, my knife and I are a far less dangerous combo than any car and driver (me included) ” Don't try and apply logic to British laws! ” Yep exactly. Just look at the law making "Zombie" fantasy…

  • Never nowadays. Used to all the time as imo locking blades are much safer than non locking blades to use but unfortunately the law being what it is nowadays I'm trying to follow their mad rules. Tbh though I could probably carry a fixed blade as I'm not the sort of person that causes trouble or generally likes to draw attention to themselves.

  • @DARJAC666 Thanks. Love how fast these flippers can release the blade. Fingers crossed the Government doesn't ban them.

  • Quote from mimozine: “thx gmb, glad you liked them. fairly sure jim bowies knife looked nothing like that matey, but its a nice looking blade all the same. doesn't mater about brand if you like a knife matey, yes hand made knives in the latest shiny steel can be great but so can a 5 quid knife in the sale, its all about what you like the look of, just enjoy them! ” Thanks mimozine and I do enjoy all my knives. This is the first knife collectors forum I've ever been a part of and tbh I'm surprise…

  • Just looking at the Hinderer XM-18 Bowie blade flipper. image-proxy If anyone knows of a company that makes cheaper priced copies of these I'd love to know.

  • Quote from DARJAC666: “edgematters.uk/attachment/2645…63229eceb35be23ab91b2b93c ” That's a nice looking flipper. What is it please? I really want to get a nice flipper you see this year but every time I see one I like it's just to expensive for me to justify. Was looking at the Hinderer XM-18 Bowie blade flipper actually but then I saw the new price.

  • @mimozine I really like your collection of fixed blades. Some really nice unusual looking knifes. Couple of my big ones... Totally agree with you @Coopster . People, on the whole, perceive knives as weapons instead of as tools. Unfortunately or fortunately, everybody is entitled to their own opinion and for some people there is no changing their mind (opinion) no matter how reasonable or logical your argument. I've had the conversation many times with people regarding guns. For some reason they cannot understand that guns don't kill people, people kill people. I don't think it works banning things or making somethin…

I often carry a UK legal EDC knife because I'd rather have it on me and not need it then need it and not have it on me. ...and I'm not just thinking about using it for opening a box or similar mundane tasks, I'm thinking more along the lines of in an emergency. E.g. What if there was a car accident with a car catching fire and I'm first on scene then a knife might be needed to cut a seat belt to free someone.
